One had two brothers, Aught and Naught. When One wasn’t using them as hula hoops, Aught and Naught would carry One over their heads and roll through the neighborhood for hours as a skateboard.

Last Saturday, while the brothers were skateboarding, a little boy was running along the sidewalk and tripped over them. One flew through the air and landed between his rotund brothers.  The boy squinted, picked up the trio, and wrapped One’s arms around his ears. He peered through Aught and Naught, and his vision cleared.

And that’s how One, Aught, and Naught became a pair of glasses.
